Fun Things
Have you discovered iGoogle yet? Personalize your browser or internet-opening page ... change the theme and watch it change with the time of day. Put all your important webpage bookmarks, handy reference and other tools, news links, as well as fun "widgets" all into the same page environment. You need to have a gmail address though. Ask someone (mekdahl@vsb.bc.ca) to send you an invitation to gmail.
Check out Ms Dewey as a search assistant! She's persistent so you may not want to minimize her! Ms Dewey also has a Wikipedia entry.
How about this Dewey DOT Marks the SPOT screensaver from OCLC. If you feel the need to teach the Dewey system to your students, check the OCLC link to resources for public and school libraries for a handy powerpoint.
Want to eliminate those annoying << in your forwarded emails? Try Mr Ed's Bracket Stripper. It works like a charm!
From BCTLAForum: Have you seen how they are advertising libraries in Wyoming?
Check out the billboard ads, radio spots and bumper stickers. http://www.wyominglibraries.org/campaign.html
